instant food, Filipino-style!

pancit palabok

when once it used to take long hours of standing in front of the stove, stirring and cooking with love, now takes only minutes to prepare. it's love in little packages, when one is longing for comfort food in the most desolate of places, metaphysical or otherwise.

There are many instant food in the groceries. But nothing can beat a true home-cooked meal without the shortcuts. But due to some circumstances, these would suffice.

hahahahaha! I just found this brand in my favorite Pinoy store here in Chicago ... and because it was Friday night when I was the only one at home ... it was my dinner for the night! Pictures will follow in my carinderia blog sometime this coming week.
