Sarah's in UP Diliman

Sarah's is where UP Diliman folk go to to have their alcohol fix. located inside the university campus, this house-turned drinking spot serves your staple beers and side dishes for all those celebratory/getting-over-an-agony/let's-sit-and-talk-awhile moments. it's located at cp garcia street beside likha-diwa restaurant near krus na ligas and is accessible via the UP Ikot jeep.

UP Main Library

some itty-bitty facts about Gonzales Hall known as the UP Main Library:

1. this is where the original Oblation statue is stored (3rd floor)
2. favorite jump-off point for suicidal people
3. is built on sinking ground (it is said that it sinks about an inch per year. haha)
4. for sleep-deprived students, this is an excellent place for napping.
5. it is now a wifi hotspot! yay!
6. used to be where the College of Fine Arts is at.
7. now housing the Institute of Library Science.
8. the UP Mountaineers tambayan is located beside the building.
9. ironic enough that the up fair is held on the sunken garden where the main lib is located. concerts rock the entire place haha

no they are not igorot huts- just a few bahay kubo which serve as "tambayans" or headquarters of some student organizations from the University of the Philippines College of Arts and Letters.

is great studying in a school where stuff like these are allowed to be posted on the blackboards and you get to see them side-by-side with literary theories and other school stuff. hee.

a blurred miss igorota with the UP College of Arts and Letters' Hardin ng mga Diwata- i think they are sculptures of women doing things that students of the college do- one lady is typing away on a typewriter, one is dancing, etc.

is rainy day and gingmaganda has actually stopped going under that sculpture- many summers ago she had the ill fate of sitting nearby said sculpture and had a caterpillar kiss her neck, which sent her straight to the ER of the UP Diliman infirmary and had to take hydrocortisone for the next few days.
